How far in advance are events listed?

Most events appear as soon as the organizing body publishes them, which can range from a few days to several months in advance. Recurring events like farmers markets or library programs are typically posted at the start of each season.

Can I submit an event to be listed?

Currently, events are pulled automatically from official municipal sources. Community-submitted events are not yet supported, but we are working on adding that feature.

The Geneva Police Department is inviting residents to an evening of fun and community connection on Tuesday, Aug. 4, to celebrate National Night Out. The National Night Out campaign strengthens police-community partnerships and promotes public safety by fostering neighborhood camaraderie. Event highlights will include Touch-A-Truck, squad car hand painting, children's activities, visits with Tommy The Comfort Dog, live drone demonstrations, music, food, and giveaways while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to chat with Geneva Police officers and meet representatives from various community organizations. Fox River Clean-Up Day

The City of Geneva's Natural Resources Committee (NRC) is looking for some helping hands as part of the group's annual Fox River Clean-Up Day. The NRC will provide garbage bags, water, snacks, washing stations, and boats to help haul away the trash. Volunteers are encouraged to wear old clothes and boots for wading through the Fox River. Instead of throwing away that old pumpkin after Halloween, people can recycle them for free at Geneva’s Pumpkin Smash. All decorations, such as candles, yarn hair, stickers, googly eyes, and plastic accessories, should be removed from the pumpkins before recycling. The Pumpkin Smash, which is sponsored by the City’s Natural Resources Committee and the Geneva Park District, is designed to reduce the number of pumpkins ending up in landfills. Capture the magic of the holiday season with Geneva's Christmas Walk. The Great Tree and other holiday illumination will be lit for the first time on the Kane County Courthouse lawn. The festival also features the first candy cane of the season, Santa Claus, carolers, a live nativity, dazzling business window displays, chestnuts roasted over open fires, Santa Lucia (the Swedish symbol of the season), holiday refreshments, and plenty of shopping.
