North Aurora residents are invited to participate in the Community Garage Sale: Spring Edition during the dates of Friday, May 15 – Saturday, May 16, 2026. Participating residences will be advertised on the Village of North Aurora’s website and Facebook page. The registration form or an email denoting the form information is required for residents who would like their addresses included on the Garage Sale Map. Maps will be posted on the Village’s website (www.northaurora.org) and on the Village’s Facebook page and available for pickup at Village Hall. Residents may participate on any day(s). Recommended hours of operation are 8:00 am – 3:00 pm; however, residents can choose whatever hours work best. Hours will not be notated on the map. This form must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 in order to be included on the Garage Sale Map. Forms will be available starting March 9, 2026 here!

A little over a year later the Village’s brand new Public Works facility has been completed! The new state of the art facility features major improvements to the previous building including a large garage for all Public Works vehicles to fit inside, additional office space for our Public Works — water and street division — staff, a new community room and a gigantic salt dome, just to name a few! Speaking of community, we would love to invite the public to both celebrate the building completion and National Public Works Week with a tour of our brand new Public Works facility! Join us for an Open House on Wednesday, May 20 from 4pm—7pm at 312 Butterfield Road! Come check out all of the new features, engage in a Public Works themed touch-a-truck event and get to know some of our awesome Public Works employees! We look forward to seeing you there!

We hope you’re feeling hungry because Cuisine at the Crossroads, the Village’s food truck festival, is cruising back into town and serving up delicious food and community fun! 🥳😋🍴 This year’s tasty event will take place at North Aurora Riverfront Park (25 East State Street) and kick off the Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 24 from 4:30pm — 8:30pm! The event will feature 10+ food trucks for you to try, yum! Stay tuned for our truck lineup and feel free to shout out any you’d love to see attend in the comments below! Guess what’s back? The Village’s Scavenger Hunt! Starting on June 6 – June 13 you and your team will need to solve puzzles that will take you all over town! The first three teams to find all of the locations will get guaranteed gift card prizes and all other teams that complete the event will be entered into a drawing for another gift card prize! Join the Village of North Aurora and the Beautification Committee for a free Community Class to help beautify your yard! A Master Gardener from the University of Illinois Extension will be leading a 1-hour class about selecting trees and shrubs. Trees and shrubs are the backbones of a well-landscaped garden. Their shapes, colors, flowers, and fruits change with the seasons providing beauty throughout the year. This class will teach attendees how to select the proper trees and shrubs for specific sites. Selecting Trees and Shrubs will take place on Thursday, June 18 from 7pm – 8pm at the Public Works Community Room (312 Butterfield Road). Space is limited so don’t hesitate to register! National Night Out Registration On Tuesday, August 4, neighborhoods throughout North Aurora will join communities across the nation for National Night Out (NNO): a crime and drug prevention event. The focus of NNO is bringing neighborhoods together, having fun, and being united against crime and disorder. From 5:00 pm—9:00 pm residents are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. Registration for National Night Out is free and gives public safety officials the opportunity to attend your event as time and call volume allow.
