Post recounts his multi-expedition journey to uncover a long-lost gear cache left behind by legendary mountaineer, photographer and cartographer Bradford Washburn and his partner Robert Bates during their daring 1937 ascent of Mount Lucania. Calling all Mount Washington Observatory members and supporters. Join us for a day of fun, learning, and celebration. We’ll be gathering at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (2 Institute Drive, Concord, NH 03301) for our 2026 Annual Meeting at 1 PM on Saturday, May 30. Lunch (on us) will begin at 12:30 PM. Then we will welcome new Trustees, hear updates from our Board of Trustees President and Executive Director, learn more about exciting new areas of Observatory work, and enjoy a presentation on our joint internship and collaborative work with the Mount Washington Avalanche Center. Our Meeting agenda will be linked HERE for your reference. We look forward to seeing you very soon.
