Track and Field Day grades 3rd-5th Track days begin at 9:45 am at Maple Mountain High School Track This is a free event. Home schooled children are also welcome to participate with their grade level. Registration forms will be distributed at school or can be found online ( click here for form ) Parents must sign a registration form. The city cannot accept unsigned entry forms. Children should wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions and running, t-shirts and shorts or athletic pants are suitable. All participants must wear shoes. No spiked, cleated or all-turf shoes will be allowed. Parents are encouraged to attend and parent volunteers are needed to help for each school and each grade. Talk to your child’s teacher in order to volunteer. * Rain out date is May 6th. Decisions about inclement weather will be made the morning of the meet, not the night before. Schools will be notified the morning of the meet once a decision is made.

May 11, 2026 Mapleton’s Parkway Trail Section across the street from Hobble Creek Elementary between 1600 N and 1200 N (East side of trail) 6:00-8:00 PM Come and join the fun with us at our Chalk the Walk event, where there are booths with fun activities about wellness and fun chalk drawing opportunities. As part of the Get Healthy Utah initiative, we are excited to shift this event not only to be a time to get outside and draw with chalk, but also to learn more about active living styles, mental health, and access to healthy food. Mapleton City Backpacking for Women Must 18 years of age to participate Classes will be at the Mapleton City Building (125 W 400 N) WHAT This is a 6 week program that will cover topics like the 10 essentials, packing tips, mental health, emotional wellness, and mindfulness, all in a supportive and encouraging environment. WHO Whether you’re new to backpacking or want to refresh your skills, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with other women who share your love of the outdoors and to finally carve out meaningful time for you . The program is designed to help women of all experience levels build the skills, confidence, and connections needed to plan and enjoy their own backpacking trips.
