SPRING 2026 Smithville residents are invited to participate in an E-Waste & Paper Shredding Event! Proof of residency is required. This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of old electronics and securely shred sensitive documents. Accepted Items: Electronics: Audio and Video Tapes - Batteries - Cameras - Cell Phones - Circuit Boards - Complete Computer Systems - Computer Mouse - Copy Machines - CPU (tower) - Data Cartridges - DLT Tapes - Docking Stations 5 - External CD-ROM drives - External Modems - Fax Machines - Floppy Drives - Hard Drives - Keyboards - L.C.D. Flat Screens - Laptops - Main Frames - Matrix Switch/Multiplexers - Microwaves - Monitors - Networking Equipment - Office Printers - Overhead Projectors - Handheld Devices - Power Supply - Printer Toner Cartridges - Reel-To-Reel Tape-decks - Scanners - Servers - Slide Projectors - Stereos - Stereo Speakers - Switch/HUB Devices - Tape Drives - Telephone Systems - Televisions - Terminals - Typewriters - UPS Back-Ups/Batteries - VCR/DVD Players - Video Recorders - Work Stations Not accepted: Items containing freon. Paper Shredding: Bring old documents, financial records, and confidential paperwork for secure, on-site shredding. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed. Not Accepted: Binders, plastic folders, or other non-paper materials.
