Community Pride Day Unite. Pitch In. Make a Difference. Community Pride Day is an opportunity for neighbors to come together and show pride in the place we call home. By working side by side, we help create cleaner, safer, and more welcoming spaces for everyone and strengthen the connections that make our community special. Volunteers will join city staff and members of the City Beautiful Commission to clean up public areas around the city and assist residents who need help with weeding and clearing yard debris. No experience is needed, just a willingness to help. Event Details Date: Saturday, May 16Time: 9:00 a.m.Meeting Location: Civic Center, 300 E. Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Section 9.01 Planning Commission There shall be a municipal Planning Commission consisting of five (5) members all of whom shall be residents of the Municipality who hold no other Municipal office or employment, selected by the Council for overlapping terms of five (5) years, except that the members first selected shall be appointed for such terms that the term of one member shall expire annually thereafter. The Commission shall adopt its own rules and elect its own officers annually. It shall have all the power and authority conferred upon city planning commissions by state law and such other duties as may be imposed upon it by the administrative code. Its members shall serve without compensation. (Amendment adopted by the electorate, 11-7-95)
