Lions Club Shred Day

LIONS CLUB SHREAD DAY - SPRING 2026 Saturday, May 16, 2026; 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The Signal Mountain Lions sponsor a free shred day twice a year in the spring and fall.  These are extremely popular with residents of the mountain as almost 300 vehicles a day empty their attic, basement, garage and closets full of personal papers to be safely disposed by the Lions and Leos as a special service to the Signal Mountain residents.  The shred day usually takes place in the Town Hall parking area on Ridgeway Avenue. The Town has been very cooperative in providing assistance to the Lions to conduct this event.  It has become one of the more popular service projects for Lions and Leos to collaborate on.

SMPD/SMFD Open House

The Signal Mountain FD and PD are hosting a joint Open House. Join them and meet your law enforcement officers and firefighters and learn more about what they do on a daily basis to keep our community safe. Informational demos will be scheduled. Other activities include a fire extinguisher prop, drones,  driving simulators and an impairment exercise. Police cars and fire trucks will be on display and tours of our facility will be available. There will be photo opportunities, give-away items for the kids. We'll also have a food truck available. We hope that you'll stop in and join us !!!
