Maple Park is a small village in southwestern Kane County, about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago. Incorporated in 1865, it has a population of about 1,900 and serves as the headquarters for Kaneland CUSD 302. The village has its own police department and is surrounded by farmland and rural subdivisions. It sits at the intersection of IL Route 38 and County Line Road.
